This is a pretty powerful statement: “Love is giving someone the power to destroy you, but trusting them not to do it.”* Recently you no doubt have had to address the kind of fears that prevent your moving forward to real true relationships.

In the next weeks when the Sun moves into the sign of Cancer with Jupiter in Gemini and Venus direct (June 27), you’ll find yourself moving up a notch in terms of what you are putting out toward your relationships. Your heart will be more open.  In the last two months, you may have been asking yourself why are you putting energy into this…what do you intend to get out of it? What is your real and hidden motive or agenda? Is this association worth the emotional energy you are expending on it? Would it be easier to seek out someone who already has the qualities you are now prioritizing as important to you? I’m sure there are many more questions.

Perhaps during the major planetary transitions taking place right now you have also realized that you “can’t take an aspirin for someone else’s headache” as I always put it. In other words, we have to be able to communicate our differences in ways that are not attacking, ridiculing, demeaning or any of the other negatives. Love is not about hurting someone else.

If the person that you are wishing to be more intimate with just wants a shouting match or to accuse you of things that are not your intentions and not your feelings, backup and without even trying to give them any “aspirins” be still and move your focus onto those people who do want to mend fences or start over and share the love. Until September there are reasons to let them stew with their own “head-ache.”

If you’re constantly throwing the past in someone’s face, you’ll never grow. You can’t change the past, can you? In reflecting on past incidences you can learn from it so that you can decide what it is that you want in your life TODAY. What you decide and do today is what is going to change your future. Being stuck in the past cannot and never does heal anything. Did you know that usually if you are stuck on someone’s past behavior, it is not what they did to you in itself, but the compounded emotional wound of your own that is repeating itself? You need to take your own aspirin and look for why you are reacting as deeply as you are and address it. What is your REAL wound all about?

At the end of the month, June 29 through July 5 are the best dates for discussions with anyone that you want to clear up misconceptions and misunderstandings with to heal relationship breaches. Now this doesn’t mean that you will automatically find what had broken fixed, but it is a doorway time. The energies are such that it will be easier to find the words, to break down any of those walls of fear and let the love surge out. The other person must be willing to discuss and compromise also.  It’s important to get this all done because when Mercury goes retrograde in Leo on July 14, accompanied by some hostile effects of Mars, Pluto and Uranus, you’ll find a tendency for explosive emotions…perhaps getting very angry over what would ordinarily be a triviality. 

It’s a good week from July 14 to 22 to just lay low, take your vacation, get out to nature–avoiding areas that are sure to include opportunities for people blowing up at other people. It is NOT a good time to drink a lot of alcohol, take a lot of drugs (prescription or otherwise) or other extremes like overeating or over-indulging in anything for that matter.

From June 20 when the big boys Saturn and Jupiter return to direct motion and the Sun is in Cancer your unconscious mind is going to flood into your dreams and consciousness. You are going to be thinking about YOU and why you do the things you do. As a result, I see a lot of people actually stepping up an octave in their evolution as a higher being, wanting to discard old beliefs that are not serving them now in 2012. This applies to all the areas of life, such as career, income, living situations, and so forth. This is much easier to do now because with so many changes in every area of our lives, we are realizing that the past is meaningless because all the rules have changed. As August arrives, we’ll be ready for socializing pleasures. Personally, I am ready for all that fun since we are embarking on a whole new Age.

With Pluto Retrograde for five months till September, you’ll be coming face to face with old hurts and hang ups. That is going to transform your inner you. It’s as if the Universe is saying, “Get over it all so you can get on with it.” In all likelihood you’ll be looking at your entire life in quite a different light at the end of the five months. After all, when we start changing what is going on inside of us, the outside changes too.
